Defense question

I was wondering how the defense in the game works.

Is 50 PDef that noticable?
If an armour had say 400 PDef and 1% reduction to damage
and another had 460 PDef

Which one would reduce more?

    Well unless that extra 60 def gave you another % reduction, it would not make a difference.
