Untamed Level 12 Gift Quest

I am currently doing the Gift quest. I've killed so many of the Scout Lynxus's but I haven't gotten an egg yet. Is there something special I have to do? Or just keep killing them?

When I got my pet wolf, all I had to do was go and kill 1 and I got him.

    im assuming you are a velo-have you gotten the catch spell yet? thats the only way to get the egg. if you have ever played Pokemon, that should help you know how to catch....just wear the animal down till it has about a sixth of its life meter left, then hit the catch spell.most of the time, that works.

    in general, its easiest to catch something if you are within one or two levels of the animal you want to catch. its weird, but its actually kind of hard to go and catch something low level once you are a lot higher

    You don't have to kill them, you need to use the tame beast skill on them.
