Magic Weapons, wands, staffs, etc...

Is there a magic implement that has a range greater than 3.00 meters? I assume its in meters.... Regardless, is there a way to increase the cast distance? Whats the use of bringing a rifle to a fight if I can't shoot unless I'm within knife distance?

I've looked at every blacksmith in every town I've been to and haven't seen one yet. I can only assume to get greater range I'll have to craft one or buy one?

Any help is appreciated.

    Wow,
    That is ridiculous. What is the point of being a spell caster if you have to cast that close. I figured the 3.0 thing was early on low level stupidity. I can't believe you're forced to fight like that the whole game.

    This game is more and more stupid everyday. I think its time to do something else.

    Uhh... casting distance is decided based on the SPELL, not the weapon. The range on a weapon is only for melee damage.

    Seems many of the cleric spells all have the same casting distance then...
