Bow and Sword

Have been thinking about giving my Blademaster a bow to get a few shots of damage in at range before the creature is close enough to hit.
Is it worth doing this ? Is the damage I can inflict with a bow enough to bother given that I will have a very basic bow.
Do all bows need to be used by only an archer given that a blademaster will have good dexterity ?

So you're going to give the bow to him from... when it's far XD and then switch to a melee weapon when it's closer? Blademasters aren't really supose to use bows and it would be more damage if you just ran up to it.

Yes but if he ran to me he would suffer damage before he got there and also suffer the same damage as my first attack if I ran to him.

Well, there are long range attack mobs around. By using bow you give them the advantage of doubling their attack power (archer types attack doubles outside melee range). Also you won't be able to use any attack skill on them. Worse still when you begin to meet high lvl mobs, they will spam magic on you and trust me that's not fun.

However, it might have some uses in pvp but i never tried so I wouldn't know. I'll leave this to the experts.

Yes, definately used only against mele creatures or you loose advantage of getting in close.
I tried it and it inflicts around 500 - 600 damage before the creature gets to you.....mmmm...its different.
Looks odd seeing a blademaster running around with a bow though...hahaha.

I never use any range weapons until I am level 15 as an archer.
why? 'cause bows suck **** without skills.
you kill faster with swords at low level.

Why become an archer if you dont use bows ?
You have skills before level 15.
Maybe you are a closet Blademaster ? he he.
