Please explain why the Veno is the best class to lure or kite ?
Why is not an archer good at this too ?
Most games I have played have always used an archer to lure away from mobs .

if the veno sends in their pet hits an enemy and unsummons the pet then only the one enemy that the pet hit keeps aggro, the enemies that hit the pet but the pet did nto his loose aggro
if an archer hits a monster all mobs around it take aggro and he doesn't have a way to loose that aggro

If you unsummon wont the monster just go back to the mob ?
Why not let it chase the pet back to you and your party ?

When you unsummon, only the monster the pet hit will come toward you if you are close enough. If you just let that mob follow the pet back, any other mob that got aggro'd when the pet went in will also come along for the attack bringing a world of trouble if you are soloing mobs around your level or higher. NBD if they are so low they are one-hits for you or you are in a party that's ready for that kind of tactic. Also, if you are not close enough to the mob when you unsummon, he will only return to his group.

I don't really know that you can. Think of it like this..... Battle pet bites monster and pisses him and his buddies off right? Well then all of a sudden the pet just disappears (unsummoned) so all the bad guys go "Whaaa? Where'd he go? Oh well. Nevermind." and they go back to what they were doing. The monster that got bit, however, is angry and hurt and wants his revenge so he goes looking in the direction the pet came from. He has been lured right? If you can't disappear the other guys won't get confused and have you be left with only the monster of your choosing. They will all run in the direction the attack is coming from. That would be you. It's the disappearing that is the key. Does that make sense to you?

At times as an archer I get chased by a whole group of monsters after hitting the first one. I run and turn and fire at the original target but after awhile the others turn back and forget me except the one I keep firing at.
I guess this does not work at higher levels ?

I guess it would depend on the mob. Some are more aggressive than others as I'm sure you've noticed. What you describe is not luring though. Even if you mean to be chased, running away is a defensive tactic. You have less solid control of the outcome. Luring is an offensive tactic over which you have total control.

Also, the running away tactic doesn't always work. You can attract aggro from monsters that you run near, and in some places there isn't a lot of room to run through without bringing other mobs after you. So it doesn't work when that happens, because you lose the originals by running into new ones.

What nightyne works in most of the world, but not in dungeons. In dungeons, the aggro of the other monsters are so high they'll probably follow you to the entrance! Also in later levels, monsters will follow you pretty far, so it's not really worth it.

Does an archer ever end up with any kind of AoE attack? If so, they may not need to lure anyway.
