sending private messages in forum

could someone tell me exactly how to send private messages in this foruM?

    Easiest way is to find the user you want to private message, click their portrait, click the Contact Info tab, and then click Send a Private Message To.

    I think the button for Compose is AWOL until the next big forum update goes through, although I might just be missing it.
