Flute of the Old Days bug?

Heya,

I just went to find the bamboo flute in 'Flute of the Old Days' quest and I went to the bridge on (589, 883) and I got a message that it was there in the bushes but it didn't go into my quest inventory and I don't get the message again now. I've talked to the old chief (who had nothing to say) and went back to the bridge, but nothing helped. How do I get the flute? Do I need to do something more or is this a bug?

EDIT: Problem solved by doing another quest first and/or restarting the game.

    You haven't done quite enough to move on. You found the flute, but you have the opportunity to talk to the spirit again. Move across the bridge to the tree or building on the right and th espirit will speak to you again.
