why is this game so full of d*ckheads who are so cocky? almost everyone who is a high level are so cocky and full of themselves. I'm sorry but no wonder why there are so few players.

In nearly every game, and in fact in real life to a greater or lesser extent, there are those who do well, and those who like to tell others how well they are doing ..... these are almost never the same people because those who are truly doing well seldom feel the need to brag about it *smiles*.

It is also true that in every setting there will be those who thrive on getting attention regardless of what kind of attention they get.

You must be crazy! According to them, most of them are 6ft tall with a muscular physique, have a hot girlfriend, make really good money, and are really really cool in real life! Trust me, they are no real life posers/losers!

I have had noticed to a degree that some people just are oblivious to others around them. But this is a common factor in any rp game and in real life. Granted like peregryn mentioned there will be players who will gloat over their achievements and others who will be proud of what they have achieved. But to place everyone in the same criteria either game or life is not the best solution. Personally, I am anti social in the game, reason being is I have seen these types of actions in other games, still didn’t stop them or me from playing; I just stay to myself and offer my help when needed. It is very sad to run across players who either blow you off or constantly bragging, but fact of the matter is, you have to get over it. Just enjoy yourself and don’t let them get to you. And for the amount of players being on pw, it hasn’t been out long so it will take awhile for more people to know about the game.

The only ppl who have bragging rights have their names posted on the Lists of highest lvl on eahc server and most kills in pvp etc. They dnt brag b/c they have their freakin names acknowledged by the devs so there is no need. Evryone else are just posers who thnk they are better than every one under their lvl.

that list is a bit funny as it takes into account TW kills+PKs
im #1 pvp archer( on HT) and never been pink or red b:laugh
i can think of some pkers that could arguably deserve that spot better b:surrender

You must be on Heaven's Tear. Make a character on Sanctuary. The majority of the people there are absolutely wonderful save for the occasional butthead. I always get help with bosses from higher levels.

There's just a faction composed of poorly socialized people that think they own at life just because they spent more time grinding than you. Thankfully they just can't be bothered to communicate with mere mortals so just try and ignore them. b:laugh

TBH this game has one of the best communities I've ever seen in an MMO.

when i was lower i did not meet any high levels who were all that cocky.... some of them were but just playin around like hah say somethin i kill you, but seriously most high levels arent cocky you never know they could have been helping alot of lower people and want some alone time for their quests and stuff.

No this game does not have the nicest community. This statement is blatantly false. Just look through the other threads on this forum to see examples of bad behaviour as witnessed by other players.

What you are saying is also false. This is not the worst community I have seen. I've been in communities where some players created sites just to bash on the community.

And besides, you can't go by what a few people said + encounters with bad players + on one server out of three+ what you see on the forums. If you haven't noticed, this games is filled with thousands of players. Calling the whole community bad because of what you experienced on one server doesn't make much sense.

The reason I say this is because I've had a lot of encounters with nice and helpful people. I also had a lot of encounters with egotistical people. There's new players joining everyday, good and bad.

Your argument is flawed. If I cannot draw a conclusion from my POV based on my (personal) observations then how else can I draw a conclusion? Our individual perceptions are based on our own personal experiences. You have every right to draw a different set of conclusions based on your experiences. It is not necessary to meet with everyone to draw a conclusion - a "scientific" statistical sampling is sufficient to draw a usable conclusion.

Not sure what you are trying to say with these last two statements. The original OP indicated that from his/her perspective most of the people encountered were not pleasant; all I did was to concur with that opinion.

Ok let me put it like this. How much sense does it make to generalize a whole community (which is seperated by 3 servers) based on what you've experienced on one server?

Ok lets remove Sanctuary for a second.

For example Lost City has a lot more drama than Heaven's Tear since it's a PvP server and people will be competitive. Does this automatically make Heaven's Tear a bad community? No, doesn't really make much sense.

Whatever made you think I only have one character on one server?

a. I have 3 active builds on Sanctuary, and deleted 4 other builds which where on the other 2 servers.
b. I also have one Runequest build
c. 10 WOW builds - 3 high level ones
d. 6 SRO builds - 2 high level ones
e. Also builds in other MMORPGs which are irrelevant to this discussion

I feel I have sufficient MMORPG experience to make a general observation based on my own experiences and I emphasis that it is purely my POV. You do not have to agree with it. The only safe conclusion is that we have different POVs and I respect yours. I am geniunely happy that your experiences with your community seems to have been much better than what I had to experience.

Ok, if you do play on all servers how long have you been playing on them? I just find it hard to believe one could call the whole community "the worst community ever" and have played on all 3 servers long enough to know for a fact what the community is like as a whole.

For me the PWI community (HT) is neither the best or the worse, but some where in between. Most MMOs are like this. I personally am not a fan of the WC spam and rudeness that some people show others. But I don't let effect the way I play too often. Most of the time the rude and unpleasent people are far more visable than the people you might enjoy meeting or hanging around with are. Does this mean the whole comminuty is awful? I don't think so. It just makes it more of a challenge. This community is not even close to being called "The Worst Community Ever".
