Can you have our text areas get different background colors when we can type into them?

Currently, when I am flying, I find myself putting my movement commands into my chat box. If its background changed colors I would be happy.

    ive had the same problem =/

    also when u chat u have to keep clicking the box to type again, i wish u could type freely and move at the same time, im thinking a chat macro could help. for example pressing ctrl+q to type in the box(without having to click)

    You're talking about the chat window things right? Because the normal chat thing you just hit enter to send your cursor there.

    I use normal chat and the chat window and I sometimes type into the location helper. I have not yet memorized all of the rules for how they work and when I am flying I do not always have enough attention to spare to see that tiny little cursor.

    Also, I can steer with my mouse when I fly and when I am chatting but gaining or losing altitude when I am chatting does not work. So my "user interface needs" can vary with the terrain and with nearby monsters.

    So, for example, I could be chatting with my squad or my faction or with whispers and I could also be chatting with friends using that chat interface and I could have my location helper open because I want to go find someone that will be giving me a quest, and I could have a mountain coming up with some hostile monsters below me on the slope just after I dodged some big trees and also after I passed under a bunch of hostile flyers not too long before I started typing my current sentence or my current location name or whatever I had previously been working on that still has my keyboard focus. b:chuckle

    Or maybe not that exact situation!
