Pure mag mages:
Cons: Low HP, slow skills, too many skills to level early on, not too great at PvP before 60, damage leaves much to be desired until later, late bloomers, difficult to master, low pdef unless you stack it, have to shard your gear with HP, not necessarily needed for most parties, most are easily **** by clerics, etc.
Pros: Higher end of the damage scale, knockback, seal, slow, blind, aoe paralyze, distance shrink, cheapest damage dealer in zhen parties, great skills at 59 and 79, great at PKing unsuspecting people, starts 1shotting people and mobs alike with crits at later levels (not people on vit builds), etc.
All I can think of atm, and no, pure magic isn't a bad choice if you don't mind having to be careful./Haiku/ -- Cognitive atrophy at its finest.
