Question on avatars

OK so i changed my avatar to my charactor but then when i looked at it it didnt look anything like my char, is it ment to?

    Yeah. The avatars are just presets to match the class, not your actual character.

    I put my avatar to match my character but i still have the face with question mark. In the right top corner it shows my avatar but not when i post.

    I think the problem may be, is the my old nickname is still there and i cant put an avatar on it.
