GM Events. First impressions

Today we had a GM event. I am very happy the GM's take the time out to provide us with a change in the ordinary and provide us a unique experience. This is not to criticize you for what you are doing, only to make suggestions to improve the events so that people will enjoy them better.
The biggest disappointment I experienced, and heard complained about by several of the participants was the fact that they lost experience during the event. People come to these events to have an enjoyable time, not worry about how they just wasted a lot of their experience points trying to have fun. It is because of this reason that I offer a few suggestions that I feel would greatly increase the enjoyment people get from these events.
Make the events experience loss free, maybe even remove the wear on weapons and armor so we do not have to pay extra to repair our gear after the event. I believe this is achievable. Suggestions on how to accomplish this would be the following :
#1. Make the event a quest. You need to accept the quest to be able to participate. You could do this either by making an instance to hold the event in and requiring the quest be active to participate or you could just make it like the certain flowers and chests in the game where you cannot collect the items from them without the appropriate quest active. Make it so the players cannot attack the monsters, cannot pick up the items that are dropped unless they have the quest, etc. Also make it so people with the quest will not lose experience points when they die. (That should be achievable)
By doing the suggestion above, That would leave the option open to gain some kind of reward once the event is over. Maybe some item, some reputation, experience, or spirit points could be gained. All they would need to do is turn the quest in once the event ends.
#2. Another thing to consider would be making the players that have the event quest active safe from Player Vs Player mode. This will prevent people from being able to be killed by other players during the event.
These are a few suggestions. I hope they will be considered as appropriate ones.
Thank you

End of discusson?
Why is that, because you feel your opinion is the only one that matters? This is a suggestion board, open for suggestions. Not for closing discussions because you disagree. b:laugh[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I gotta agree with Shy on this; I didnt participate in the event, but I was informed that no exp was gained. And from what I just read, I'm guessing exp was lost.
So.. an event where exp is lost, but none gained. Makes the event kinda pointless, if you're looking at it experiance-wise. Makes it less fun if you're worried about losing all of your hard gained exp.
So why not, if an event like this happens again, why not do like Shy said and make it a quest. But when you accept the quest, you gain, lets say, 50 guardian angels - but make those guardian angels Quest Items. That way they can only be used in the event, and not be taken out of the event quest. This would be a good way to put 'some' kind of limit on the exp loss (but then again, if you die over 50 times... well.. it may be better to back out somewhere around the 40th death lol).
Anyway; just my opinions.0 -
and if you revive someone else, you get nothing either. where is the yin-yang in it?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Oh another reply to this.
When you are in Territory Wars and you die, you do NOT lose exp.
So you are wrong.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

WRONG not in the special weekly events and daily events cube of fate, race, rebirth order, dargon raider, TW pve
in none of those do you loose XP if you die, if a GM could they should make events in special areas, thats how it should be ^-^0
