Since many think the Perfect World International Cash Shop is over-priced, why don't we compare the cash shops of MapleStory, Mabinogi, and Perfect World International? I will note that in Mabinogi and MapleStory, you are indirectly required to use the Cash Shop to have a normal gaming experience.

wtf is this.... increased exp while grouped together FOR ONE WEEK..... abilities? anyways this is the stupidest thread I have ever seen. You are comparing things that have EXTREMELY less meaning in PWI than Charms. Try leveling without charms and see. In the other games you don't need heiros to keep you alive while training or pvp. Pots work just fine. Anyways, worst thread ever.

As stated in my original post, the wedding info is from what info I could find on the net, not sure how correct it is.

Secondly, I play without Charms, my wife plays without Charms, if you need charms then that's fine. It's possible to play without them, Charms just make the game easier. Charms cost $0.80 (100,000HP/150,000MP), $2.50 (350,000HP/525,000MP), and $4.00 (600,000HP/900,000MP), while in-game you can purchase them for 80,000, 250,000 and 400,000 respectively. People are always selling them in-game if you rather not spend money, but even then they aren't required to play the game and have an enjoyable experience.

Mabinogi isn't a good example here, because they don't have jack squat worth of anything in their cash shop. They have a lot of things that you can go without, and most of it is just monthly service packages. PW cash shop has a lot more incentive for purchase, especially since they have MATERIALS for sale within the cash shop.

P.S. Mabinogi has implemented a marriage system.

The other 2 games I never even heard of that you used for examples. I think the main issue is alot of us came from PW MY, and why dont you do the comparison to that. Because that is this versions biggest competition not Maple Story or w/e that other game was you said.

PW MY- Cost to get married 30 cubi? Thats less than $10 USD, compared to the $60 on this version.

Basically it breaks down to PW MY I can buy 100 "Zen" for $27, here on PWI I can buy 100 Zen for $100. Thats a HUGE difference for the same game.

If you came from PerfectWorld Malaysia then why are you playing Perfect World International? Obviously you had issues with the Malaysia version otherwise you wouldn't be here.

Perfect World International is a different game from Perfect World Malaysia. Different community, different exchange rates, etc. I'm sure it won't be long till they put a few IPs Block on it.

Nope the game is the same, I ONLY came here for the pve server. No other reason. And if/when pw-my adds pve server Im going straight back there, without even looking back lol.

Also IP blocks are about usless. Anyone with half a brain and some internet knowledge can set up their own proxy IP out of any country they want. Problem solved...

Well if you like tons of latency, sure. I for one think the prices are just fine for the market it's aimed at, as it's cheaper than other pay to play games for USA.

    hi folks:

interesting discussion taking place here but unfortunately the discussion is swinging heavily toward conversation regarding other versions of PW along with other competing products -- which simply put, is not allowed on these boards.

Thanks for your original post though, Rastai. I enjoyed reading it and appreciated the level of detail you covered.
