+Quests only for at least the first 30 levels.
+Group up for less downtime and faster quest completion.
+Level the glacier shield thing up when you can - a lot less downtime.

Well remember to stick to all your quests until 35+. After 35, quests trim down to 2-3 per level, and slowly decreases.

Shieldwise, I liked the comfort of +physical defense. More convienant than more mp regeneration, and saves me a lot of money on hp pots, comparable to mp, + earth> water in terms of bosses.

-Most helpful item for gaining exp with no downtime is an MP charm. Best to save up for silvers in the lower levels, because bronze is a freakin' ripoff.
-Stacking MP regen items such as ones you can make at the apothecary + water shield will conserve the charm, or lower downtime if you don't have a charm.
-NPCing DQ items which drop from all mobs is one of the quickest ways to get cash.
-Apothecary items are godly useful in the first 30 or so levels, and nice to have after.
-Pure magic kills enemies the fastest (usually).
-Flying and swimming enemies yield more exp than land enemies, often with lower hp.

I left my water and fire shields at 5, but upped my earth due to being a robe in a controversial guild on the PvP server; made a nice safety net starting at around 40 when I first started making the effort to get +pdef gear. Maxed out water in my 60s lol.

If you're looking for speed then the best asset you can have is a faction with the majority of the ppl your level. This will make your questing and therefore your xp go a lot faster. I know a lot of ppl who spend a significant amount of their time trying to get groups for quest mobs/bosses and such. Don't waste time, either WC or focus on quests you can solo while keeping an eye out for shouts. 1 day spent looking for help on a quest can easily be a half level or more of lost xp for things you could do solo.

If you are good on timing skills and moving, you won't be dieing. I'm level 54 now and I've died only 2 times since I was 45 because. 1.- Got killed AFK; 2.- I was flying up to avoid a few high level monsters, stopped going up to type, and I accidentaly got the aggro of a 4 long range monsters. ;P
I'm a full Mag, and I've never have problems of dieing much. Monsters usually don't even hit me.

Dying only starts when you are at magic mobs and get ahold of too much aggro without a charm, you get ganked, you lag, or you simply aren't paying attention, imo. I honestly don't die much, but leveling without an HP charm is about as inefficient as not having an MP one later in the game. This is because after 60 or so, most mobs are almost always magic with at least half your range. It wasn't as big a deal when we had the Blessing, because practically everything was a 1-3 shot.

Glacial sheild does help but not enough to save cash..just get a mp charm it will help for a long time and worth the cash/coins.I really dont sit and meditate to much since i dont mind forking out 50k of mana pots..unless i run out then ill med..or borrow mana from a near by person and pay them..or something.

yeah usually when i die its mainly my fault of not paying atention to my hp..or geting aggro pwned thinking i can take on 3-4 at a time at much.
