Xenobeast quest help

I just got to 19 and picked up the two quests from the elder, one of them being the challenge one and the xenobeast one. I opened my quest window to turn on the tracking thing to see what I had to do and it wasnt there nor is it in my quest list and I cant seem to get it again. Is it supposed to do that or did I do something wrong?

    The Xenobeast one you got isn't in your quest log, its not a typical quest. Look in your inventory for an item called Call to Duty: Xenobeast

    That is the quest. You put it in a pillar in the dungeon and the party gets extra exp and spirit for killing the boss.
