    grinding is just when you kill monsters over and over and over again for long amounts of time. the purposes of grinding are to gain exp when you run out of quests to do, or to gain DQ items or any other drops of interest. sometimes people will call a particular quest a "grinding quest" when it involves killing lots and lots of monsters and some people will reference PW as a "grinding game" because most all of the quest require killing large amounts of monsters and you're just stuck in one place "grinding" for a long period of time. b:tired
