Faction membership linked to the "account" not the character

this has probably been mentioned before but i couldn't find it. forgive me if i'm repeating.

i would very much love for membership to a faction to be linked to the account rather than just one character. i like to make new characters when i get bored and it's frustrating to make one then have to worry with getting back into my faction with that character. even though i may not play that character much, or end up deleting it, i'd still like to have my faction membership shown. i happen to be the leader of a very small faction made up of just a few friends who don't play nearly as much as i do and it's a hassle to get one of my new characters into the faction. i would imagine other players who are members of larger factions might run into a bit of hassle getting a new character into the faction also.

this idea would include the faction titles also. as i said, i am the leader of my faction and i would love to have my leader title showing regardless of which character i'm playing at the time. i'm sure every other officer of a faction feels the same way.

i don't know if PWI would be able to do this, but if they can i really hope it's something they will consider adding.

thanks =)

    While this is an interesting idea, I have to say I don't agree.

    Guilds only get a set number of players that increases with the guild level, and most people only want a couple characters in the same guild. I know that there are times I just want to be alone with myself, and not be 'bothered' by some overly friendly guild members.

    I like my guildies, but not enough to spend every second in PWI with them.
    If the best defense is a good offense, why did I even show up?

    If a train is going east at 50 mph and another train is going west at 90 mph, where do they...Never gonna give you up~ Never gonna let you down~Never gonna run around~and hurt you~

    If you've got this far, you've been rick-rolled.

    my thoughts would be to count every character under that one account as one character in the guild. the actual person would be considered as one member of the guild no matter what character he or she is playing therefore not increasing the number of members with each new character under the same account.

    perhaps this could be an option for the account holder. such as you can opt to have your characters linked to a guild or not OR have the option to hide your online status from your guildmates so you could do your own thing for a while OR be linked to one guild per server. so if you wanted to be alone you could do it on Sanctuary instead of Heavens Tear. i totally understand your points tho, just some thoughts.

    i wonder how many people play with one faction on one character then with a different faction on another character. like the same person would be members of rival factions o_O lol

    While thats an interesting idea to have, what would happen if you were guild leader? and you made a new character? This is still a semi new game, so they have lots they can improve on, and time to do it. I play eudemons and since 2006 they have come a long way, but they dont have near the options that perfect world does, so it could really take a while to work in new classes better guild options and situations.
