Macro Timer

I play as a level 61 Cleric. I have a lv10 Plume Shot and a lv10 Great Cyclone. To fight an enemy I created a macro that goes like this:

Cyclone, Shot, Shot

Most of the time this can go off flawlessly, however, it seems that in some cases it won;t execute properly. The reason is that the enemy has moved slightly and the cool off timer between Plume Shots (at 1 sec) interrupts the macro. This makes it useless half of the time.

My suggestion is that in the macro creation window, put in an icon that is a timer. This timer can be modified in the macro to allow for cool off for the next action.

I lodged a trouble ticket on this with PWI, and here's what I got:

There is no Pause command in the macros because we do not want players to completely automate their attack cycles... Creating a macro to make gameplay easier is one thing. Creating a macro that enables you to press one button and automate your entire attack cycle is another.

So I guess all those players that are killing using macros are cheating? And making an 8 stroke macro is cheating too? *sigh*

I agree it's a pain - one reason I don't use macros for my attacks.

However, I think a timer is unnecessary (and needlessly complicated) - I just think if the next skill in the macro is on cooldown, it should pause until you can cast it
