Inventory icons are replaced with question marks?

Hi all, I am new to the game.
I downloaded it through torrent, and for some reason the inventory icons are replaced by question marks. For example, I picked up 180 bolts and it just shows the icon in my inventory as a question mark with the number 180 at the bottom. How can I fix this?

    Try running a verify from the launcher. This may take some time so please be patient.

    Did a verify, same problem occurs.

    Well in that case you will probably have to reinstall and freshly patch the game.b:surrender

    Okay,
    I reinstalled 3 times today
    Once with bittorrent
    Once with direct download
    Once with the 4 part thingy
    Still no cigar...
    I think my system specs should be fine....


    EEE 901
    1.6 Ghz Atom
    1G RAM
    Intel GMA 950 (192 MB max)


    Recommended
    1.5 GHz Pentium 4 CPU
    512M RAM
    128mb 3D Accelerator graphics card
    DirectX 9.0c
    2.5 GB hard disk space
    Internet Connection

    Again, everything else runs fine except that item icons are replaced by question marks.
    And yes, I patched and verified each time I reinstalled still no luck -_-
    Any other ideas or thoughts?
