In game, when you hover your mouse over your physical def., you receive a message that says, "Damage from level X enemy attacks will be reduced by X%."

1. What is the highest physical damage reduction you have ever seen?

2. What was your total defence after buffs.

3. Does physical damage reduction have a cap? Is it possiable to reach 100% damage reduction?

I'm not sure on the 100% reduction, my best guess would be that the answer is probably no. However even in combat you get an albeit reduced HP regen. Bearing in mind that Barbs are really nothing more than HP behemoths I think it's possible to reach a point where enemies of considerably lower level than you might not be able to deal the damage required to offset even your reduced HP regeneration, especially if you're getting the Tiger form defense bonus as well.

The trick is of course that you don't really care about the damage you take from lower level enemies just the ones you're currently killing. So I think no matter how buffed and properly distributed your attributes are you'll always take damage, you'll still be likely to survive though, that's what Barbs do. If damage reduction or negation is really a must for you there's always the Spark skill but I think that might burn a specific item each time you use it, however it does spike your damage and imbues (at the first level at least) about 1 second of invulnerability, though you'd have to be pretty lucky to time it right to negate a devastating attack.
