If there was a PWI Internet Radio Show would you tune in to listen as your playing PW?

    Depends on the music, obviously. And if there were someone talking, they'd have to have a nice voice and be fun to listen to. If not, I'd rather listen to my own music.

    yeah It would be music + a voice! I gues sit could also be like an all request thing and you could request music too That would be sort of cool

    Yeah I might, but I often coordinate with friends using vent/skype ect, so it wouldnt be always. However a PWI ventrilo channel, now that I would use

    First question...what kind of music would be played? Music from the game? Would get very boring after a while.
    Second question..Will it be an all request station?

    If you're gonna have an all request station, be prepared to have to have every genre of music out there ready to go at a moments notice. you never know what someone is gonna request or when. You could be playing rock for over an hour and suddenly get a request for country, rap or whatever. Be prepared to get that tune in within a 2-3 minute time slot or you may loose listeners.

    You will also need something setup for people to message you for the requests and be prepared to get bombarded at one point and then drag with none for hours. Also, the crackpots who wanna call in and just be a pain in the ****. Need to hold the tempers.

    Ya might wanna consider a server set just soley for the purpose of this. You're gonna need a lot of space and **** just to hold the music. Then there's the setup to play an internet station. Then there are your dj's. Are they going to be paid for this or is it a volunteer thing? You will have to take time with your dj's to make sure they have the software to run a station, and the music to play. It's gonna take 1000's of tunes to have a good program.

    Now, how do I know this.. I am a dj & manager for an internet station. There's a lot to running a radio station. It ain't just a fact of playing music.

    Obviously, I am aware but the sheer amount of music that will be needed to play an All request hour! I don't think that it will be an all request station ALL the time. It will definitly be a Paid thing! 100 percent! Since there won't be and Advertisments to bring in revenue how could I pay DJ's? I am pretty sure I could download any song within 2-3 minutes notice as well... I got a Terabyte of hard memory so storing music isn't going to be a problem

    I would not listen. I prefer to play my own music when playing, plus the idea of having to sit through x amount of rap/hip-hop/top 40 songs just to get to something listenable is a big turn-off.

    Ok, so no all request station...no dj's. Terabyte is a good amount of space. Shouldn't have any problems having music. You'll need a lot of space to run a station even without the all request thing. Your next thought is how long will you run your station. Between such and such hours ... so many days a week or 24/7.

    You say pay...meaning people who listen will have to pay to listen? Hopefully not... otherwise you might as well give up now. Noone is going to pay to listen to something everyone knows they can listen elsewhere for free.

    This will NOT be a paid thing because there won't be any advertisments running!

    As for hours I was thinking of having a schedual for hours my own hours are sort of all over the place but if I could find some other people who play regularly then they could be on the air! And when its free and I am playing I'd be on the air.. I am usually on late nights so for sure late nights

    Depending on the genre. If it was rap/hip-hop/techno and similar ****, I'd be revolted. That wouldn't fit the theme one bit.
