Ideal Stats for Elf? From noob

I'm thinking of choosing the archer so I'd like to know what specific stats (dont know how to up stats, by training or fighting or what?) the archer shud specialize in order to bring out its full potential. Its mp/magic is low so I'm worried about training for too many stats like dex and str cuz the archer deals lots of damage And has a lot of spd so i want to train for its defense, altho i dont think there's such a stat in this game unless u just lev up and Last longer....
