I am wondering exactly what strategy Venos are employing to lure with this "so-called" ranged pet.

To be honest the only time mine has gone ranged is when the mob he's fighting tries to run, any other time he runs right up and starts bashing away just like any other pet..... what could possibly be the "advantage" of using one to lure with if you can't even command him to attack from range????

Is there a skill or something you're supposed to purchase to enable his "ranged" abilities????

Looking for an excuse to keep this guy in my petbag, as he looks COOL, but with such crappy stats and no control over his "ranged" abilites, I'm just wondering what other Venos see in these guys?????

You have to turn off pet skills for it to work.

When you summon it, right-click the yellow outlined box. It's usually Bash that's the auto skill, so right click that to turn it off. Afterwards it'll start using it's ranged attack.

    Thanks, that did the trick.b:laugh

Even still though, his range is so tiny that he might as well just walk right up and bash them over the heads.
