So I have dueled a full int? (is that what they put their points into?) cleric and have gotten pked by one as well. I dueled a level 33 and I'm guessing the person that killed me was around 33 as well because he was wearing the level 30 gear. So my question is, how do they ownt me so fast lol. Their plume shot = almost 1/3 my hp. My aim low, regular attacks and quickshot can't do cr@p (they were both fully buffed btw
might have to do with a lot of it). Why do clerics have such attack and ......defense???? I do more damage to a warrior than a full buffed cleric. This is so wierd because I thought clerics' defense was supposed to be low. How come this guy has more defense than me? Shooting a quickshot at myself (if I could would do about 1/4 of my hp) it did like 1/10 of the cleric's hp.

I'm wearing armor from the rank one thing or whatever, you guys that are higher than level 30 know what I'm talking about. Everything else I wear is up to date light armor with at least one star.

Any insight?

Cleric have a skill called Plume Shell, which at lvl 10 blocks 80% of incoming physical damage for 20 seconds and subtracts that damage from the clerics MP. You can recognize it by the white feathers that float in a circle around the clerics stomach.

    when that happens, run away.

clerics are the slowest class in the game.

while archers are one of the speedy ones.

i actually know nothing about archer skills.

so...run away, then use your skills when the plume goes off =)

remember, you basically can't kill a cleric unless you can spike him to death, interrupt his heal, or force him to run out of mana.

chances are, you won't do that with damage while plume is up (since plume takes mp damage).

and as you said, the plume shot rips through you.

The other thing to worry about, is if the cleric does Plume Shell, drinks an invuln potion, Plume Shell. It's a useful way to fake people out who usually come back when Plume Shell falls the first time. Later on they also get a sleep spell, that will set them up for 1 shotting you. So it's a bit more complex than just waiting for it to end.

right, its imo clerics are one of the best pvp classes xD, you'll have your work cut out for you.

correct me if i'm wrong, but don't bows have longer range than spells?

i think your only chance is staying at max range and using whatever skills you can.

debuffs are probably pointless, the cleric has purfy.

so, you'd basically have to stun him? and then kill him fast before he can put up a wall of ironhearts.

well you see, he didn't use plume shell. just **** me with plume shot (and it never misses).

So I have made a cleric because I wanted to see how awesome it is. believe it or not, i one shotted almost all monsters at the start of the game.

So the question I want to throw out there is how do I get around my hp problem? I have only like 380 hp or something like that because I put all my points into magic. I don't want to sacrifice my points for vit either because I want maximum damage output. How's that going to work out? Can someone give me a better build?

I would recommend adding 1 strength every two levels so you can get your armor lol. you gotta sacrifice a little so u can have cloth armors

Don't put anything into vigor. In the lower levels just use an ironheart before or during your spell combos to stay alive. Then get your rank equipment with all the health boost stats. Place lvl 4 health gems in all the sockets. Keep any 2 or 3 socket capes and helms you find and add health gems to those as well. That's all you need to do to have enough health as you play the game. Focus on health boost gear over other boosts. You can get more health than you can get magic boosts to make up for spec'ing into vigor.
