Quest colours...?

I apologise for such a moronic question, but could someone please tell me why various quests have different colours? For instance, orange stands for spiritual cultivation....what about blue? white? purple?

    White quests are normal quests. Blue and Purple quests provide highly valuable equipment at the end of the quest or end of t he quest series.
