Verifying taking longer then usual

Hey guys so i recently downloaded the game client again and it played fine but when click on the shortcut it came up with a message saying New Patch update Available so i clicked update now and it said update complete. Just to make sure i closed it again and same message came again and again. So i thought i would verify it and it takes longer than usual then my past downloads verifications ect also do know its version 28 as well...... so i clicked update now and now i am verifying it but it taking ages after i did update now and clicked verify....


Any ideas why it could be taking like ages...

    The Launcher should tell you what it's doing. If there were damage or alterations to an important game file, it's probably trying to redownload and fix that file.
