decomposing items

im having trouble decomposing items so i can get stuff for my fly mount. when i try to decompose gear or weps from monsters it says not enough durability can someone please explain what i need to do

    This might be a stupid question, but did you try repairing the item?

    Items found off monsters start with 50% durability.
    Yindra --- Lvl 64 Venomancer (Sanctuary)
    Getting too grindy by now :-(

    i figured out the decomposing items its based on your crafting skills so if you lvl 3 you can decompose only wepeons from lvl 3 down if your blacksmith and so forth on what ever skill you pick b:surrender

    Yeah, the message is a bit odd. Threw me off as well until i saw the "Level" number.

    thats good to know but the robe i got from the npc how sells them is level 1 and my skill in that craft is level 1 so why cant i decompose it and yes it is fully repard i'm at the ponet of giveing b:surrender but i wont plz help me

    Are you using the correct NPC? You can't decompose weapons at the tailor, and you can't decompose armor at the blacksmith, and so on. Also, most quest rewards cannot be decomposed, and will say so in the item description, but I'm guessing that's not the issue if you're using NPC gear.
