In-game mouse problem

Whenever I minimize my game, get a popup, accidentally hit start, etc.. When I open the game back up, the game's mouse keeps blinking, and when I try to click anything, the game minimizes. So I'm forced to exit the game and open up another. How do I fix the in-game mouse when it is doing this?

    A driver update can sometimes fix this issue, but driver support for alt-tab and similar behavior is... unpredictable, at best, especially with ATi or Windows XP boxes. Switching to Windowed mode from the launcher's settings boxes is a reliable, if not particularly pretty, solution to this issue.

    i get that when I press Better Performance,....it like takes my mouse to Desktop and my mouse is set and stuck on desktop.. and i get in teh game and i click somwhere in game it minimizes and such... really bugs me lol
