Solution to the gender *EMPRACE* issue

Hey dunno if this has been suggested in other threads but it may be a possible solution to the "gender issue" that has been a hot topic on this forum. I propose a new funtion to be integrated into the game that is similar in principle to the *Embrace* function that not only works between male and female chraracters but can be used on male-male and female-female pairings.

The function works like this: When you right-click the portrait of a character of the opposite geneder, the embrace function is on a drop down list that appears. I propose an alternate function when the chracter you select is of the same gender (that can be called "plan" "strategize" "coordinate" "socialize" "rock-paper-scissors" etc) which in principle does the same thing, build up Chi. This will require some game editting but will go a long way to imrooving the game dynamics.b:cool

Consider the advantages of this:

1. Build up Chi
2. cool new function with fun animations
3. no more gender issue with regards to the *embrace* function
4. makes the game a little more balanced for players when their teams are gender unequal
5. no more annoying people complaining that the veno that embraced them was in fact a guy in real life
6. actually wou will still get that
7. but at least there will be an alternative

well first of all the whole gender issue... and the sexist argument.

Before one can hurl accusations like that around you need to clerify what exacty sexism is.

To me it is along these lines...

1)to discriminate against another person in a demeaning way based on physical gender alone.

2) to deny equal rights and privelages based soley on gender with no other support to said restrictions.

all other descriptions will fall under those two.

Now look at real life for a sec. In general men are physicaly stronger. There are few exeptions to this rule, But it is overall true men are physicaly stronger.This does not grant us special rights or make us higher quality of human. it is one of the many differences that nature has defined as male and female.

The ability for males to embrace and fly is not sexist. it does not in any way imply females are inferior.... IF there is a counter balance such as giving females an ability males cant to.

With no counter balance it does tend to enter into a gray area of special privelages for male characters. so either give the females the ability to embrace and be done with it OR...
Think up some ability that men cant do.

Now what that could be i have no idea.

To me it seems almost a trivial issue but some people take it to heart (a few personal issues maybe i dont know) and to keep everyone happy all the time is impossible.

If you really truly have a problem with this.. try taking them to court! see just how real your issue is. You wont get far at all... Even if the judge is female.
