Hi there :)

I am a level 11 cleric in City of the Plume - I have taken a lot of quests and
I have been to the cleric master gotten all the updates so I have a lot of
skills for healing in battle for my own attack etc.

All that is very good - but one thing I do not get is that I only can have level 1
weapons still. I just finished a quest today where I got a sword for level 2 -
I can not use it .. it is that reddish color.

For one of my quests they write it is best if I use a level 2 weapon - but
as you see that is totally impossible. Same with armor - I can create level 2
weapons and armor ..... but can not use it myself.

My question is ........ is there something I have failed to do - or something I
can do about it ..... or am I just to wait and it will open up later.
I am a bit confused that a level 11 can not have level 2 equipment.

Your stats determine what equipment you can use. You want magic weapons they need magic and some str to use.
    Main characters
Celestial Sage Venomancer Zoe - 100
    Sage Barbarian Malego - 91

with every lvl up you get 5 exp points. you can distribute them by opening your character card.
you have the following stats for distributing your exp points.

VIT = vitality = more HP and better HP regeneration HP = life points
MAG = magic = more MP and bettter MP (mana) regeneration, more magical damage and magical defense
STR = strength = more physical deff and more physical damage on narrowed attacks, required for different armors also
DEX = dexteritiy = more critical hits, more accuracy and more damage on ranged attacks

there are several builts / ways for a cleri how to distribute the exp points. They are all discussed in the class - cleric forum section her in forum.
So please look there and then choose the best on for yur way to play this game
justice might be blind - but i also see in darkness

Thank you both for the help :)

I am beginning to see the light here :)

Now I see the connection to armor and weapons - I went and read
the guide Cayeon has made - that can be found at the Cleric forum.

That gave me a lot of help - I really see a part of the game that I had
not seen before - and was not aware of. Well I have not played a week
yet - but slowly the pieces are beginning to come together.

I was so puzzled that I could create stuff that I could not even use myself.
But now I see why ... and the logic ....... when you create you need
creational skills - and your physical strength has nothing to do with it.
While wearing weapon and armor - you need some strength to carry
    and use it.

I am not at home right now so I have not been able to try these things
out - but I can not wait .. it will be very interesting to try this out.

And most of all ........ I can not wait to get my new sword in use - at one
of the very low levels I was given a magical sword level 1 .... then here
a day or so ago - I lost it. It was really weird as I was in a place fighting
some monsters .. then one dropped a fist I had not seen before and
wanting to try it out. Well I regretted that a LOT because the fist was not
impressive and I lost all my magic abillities. When I tried to put the sword
back ........... it was no longer working ... and the price of it went to 0 - there
I was not even having a weapon ..... only one thing to do .. fly home to
City of Plume .. and hopefully get some weapon. Then I found out how
it was so impossible for me to get a level 2 weapon ...

Thanks again to both of you :)

is the weapon reddened? If it is, you only need to fix it in NPCs, then itl be usable again. It's just run out of duration. ^^

    enjoy

The weapons and armor were reddened yes - but were already when I bought them/made them.

So the others were quite right ........I had to go into the character and put the points I had gotten
every time I had levelled up on the different abilities like STR - MAG - VIT and DEX.
I had 50 points there good for nothing untill they got placed - and WOW how I got up in HP and MP.
No wonder it was so hard for me to kill any monster same level as myself !!!

I was SO happy - the game became a lot more fun again :)
And I went out and bought all new armor/clothing - now I am up to par ...
and now I go fix those numbers every time I level up :)

But thank you for trying to help me :::::::)))
