Changing Wizard build

( advice needed from experienced wizards) i just started the game and i want to use the pure magic build for my wizard at the start, but when I get to lvl 30 I think I should change to the Light armor build for easier pking is this a good strategy?

Honestly the damage difference between light armor and pure mag is not very noticeable at the lower levels, and it wouldn't make a real difference if you went pure mag for the first 30 levels, except that it would probably making killing mobs harder on yourself because you don't have all your nicer skills for avoiding near death situations. The damage difference grows larger with time. In fact at the end of your 30s you get Phoenix, with which (even at level 1) combined with gush can keep any normal melee mob from ever even touching you. Before that, soloing them as a robe is really quite annoying if you dislike kiting.

I pvp fine in my robes with no vit, but not everyone does. Light armor is rather a sacrifice of being able to withstand more physical attacks while being weaker to casters. Since half the classes are physical and the other half are magical, it really doesn't make that huge a difference in the end. Just pick whichever you're more comfortable with tbh.
