Sound errors

I'll say first that I've tried several things to fix this and have had no luck. I've reinstalled the game, I've reinstalled my sound drivers, I've completely uninstalled both then restarted my computer and reinstalled them. No change at all.

My problem started 2 patches ago. Some sound effects will randomly be much louder than normal and some are always quieter, to the point of barely being audible. The music, however, is not affected by whatever this is and plays at normal volume. Before that patch everything worked fine.

I'm running an Athlon64 dual core 4200 1.8 ghz with 2GB ram and XP pro SP2. Windows update is being a PITA and times out when I try to install SP3.

To do this, start the game and then press Ctrl + Alt + Del to bring up the Task Manager. In the
processes tab, find elementclient.exe. Right-click on it and choose Set Affinity.

Untick/uncheck all but one CPU, then select OK.

What I say is.... forget the sound! All there is is crappy music. :P Not trying to start anything or get banned. Just stating an opinion. That's one thing I think needs to change... Okay, off topic... I'm not sure how to fix this problem. Does it still work if you listen to music on a website? Such as youtube and others?
