i think you should not pay for marriage. i think you should have to do a huge quest to prove just how much you love a girl.IF YOU REALY LOVE HER. i mean WOULD YOU RATHER? do a huge quest to prove to your girl how much you love her. or just pull out your wallet. thats what i cannot understand. put yourself in this posittion. imagine you just met a extraordinary girl and you fell in love with her. you and her both love each other so much but are kept away from each other because you have to pay 60 dollers. or do a huge quest so its proven that you love her. JUST PLZ THINK ABOUT WHAT IM SAYIN HERE. ITS WHATS IN YOU HEART NOT YOUR WALLET.

Have you been reading too many Romance Novels?
And they make you pay for marriage, so that they earn money.
It's business.0 -
It blows me away that people will actually pay that kind of money just to get married - it has no practical benefit whatsoever, just lets everyone else know you're married. Do it to prove you 'love' someone? Get real - it's just a game. Roleplaying is one thing, but at the cost of $60? I don't think so.
That said, going on a quest for the right to get married might be fun ... but it's not going to happen. Having a quest option means less people paying to get married ... they're not about to add something that's going to reduce their income!0 -
Well it's simple, you don't want 600 players to get married because it's cheap 'cause then it wouldn't be special anymore. Marriage is special even in a game and if someone wants to spend 60 dollars on it then so be it.
Besides, roleplaying does not always need signs to let other know if they're married to someone else. You could just roleplay for that, tell other people you are married but don't want to "waste" 60 dollars on the actual stuff for it.

Yes - I can understand wanting to get something that very few others have, just for the fun of it. I wasn't trying to knock those who have gotten married (or plan to), just that for me it seems way too expensive.
It's similiar in a way to clothing - serves no practical purpose, but makes you stand out - makes you unique. But clothing isn't quite so expensive ... which also means you're not quite so unique
As for just roleplaying you're married - go ahead, have fun!0 -
Most people have already talked about marriage being one of the ways in which this game can make money, so I won't go into that.
However, look at it this way, marriage is extremely sacred, so if you're willing to spend $60 in order to marry your loved one in-game, then why not? It makes it all the more precious because more is given up for your sake. Plus, there are people here who are dating or are married in real life who might want to get married in-game as well, so $60 won't be a problem for them.0
