Second Classes would be cool

Sorry dude but, that's a bad idea. It'd make the game too easy and that's not a good thing...0

even if you did have dual classes you'd probably end up sticking to one, either that or having two classes, both with suckish builds.
Example:
you have a cleric/archer build.
Clerics are leaning toward a mage build, without that your completly useless...
And Archers stink without their Dex build, i mean, an archer without a bow?
Veno's are the most flexible class, you could probably make a half decent veno/barb but it still wouldn't be as good as having a single class.
This would make the game very, very difficult and annoying.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Let me start off by saying, dual classes, subclasses etc will never happen. The gms here have no say over it.
Subclasses in the style of L2 would work, you could talk to an npc and then your level/stats/etc would be changed with your class whenever you switched, like, you could be a barbarian that looks like an elf. But each class would have its own stats and levels/skills.
It would be amazing if we had something like L2's noblesse system, with dirt cheap teleports to anywhere, and the pvp dmg increase, and the skills that goes with it.
However, mixed classes in the style of Rising Force online or D&D multiclassing would be ****, the game is broken as it is.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I dunno maybe this could work if it was only an expansion on the original class but not a whole new class. Although i like the idea of 2 classes the others are right there would be no originality. Everyone wants pets and everyone wants to be the best. Each class has its unique abilities and I say leave it that way. b:angry0

Dreadmaul, i dont think so. imagine just how OP crossing a Barb with a Wiz would be. also, the classes just arent diverse enough for something like that.well actually, i shouldnt say that but I really cant rephrase it well...Dang!...I just lost my train of thought...0

I think it sounds cool myself, I agree straight out dual classing would probably end up killing the game, but perhaps some more in depth high lv 65+ maybe prestige class type thing, doesnt have to be big just something to make you feel that little bit more special.
heres a few ideas I can run by you for examples of what could be done instead of just saying this is dumb and bashing the OP
could be for a bm:
weapon master- gets some more passive skills that would increase general damage a little more and/or a skill that reduces mag cost on wep based skills for the bm who wants to use all the bm paths and and even a bow sometimes
specialist _____ - sort of already have this in the 4 paths but maybe a few more skills towards what wep you specialize in and a little more damage for it
Wiz:
arcane trickster- some more buffs and a couple of manipulation spells to control the enemy maybe
arch mage- even more powerful spells for those mages who like to feel magicaly bad **** and do lots of damage
Cleric:
Specialized healer- bonus to heal spells reduced cast time on heal spells and/or maybe a new heal spell or two
Holy Protector- for the cleric who doesnt particularly like healing as much some passive to increase dmg and maybe a spell to half damage someone takes by taking half the damage yourself (totaly would be a vit cleric build)
Archer:
Ranger- some melle skills and profeciency with a sword
Bowman of the Elven(or something) Order- a bit more dmg for bows and a nice skill or two
Barb:
Guardian Beast- one or two more tiger form skills and a slight passive def boost skill (maybe only while in tiger form)
Vicious Beast- a slight damage boost skill, and a skill or two baed on doing damage a good one that would show this idea perhaps and stick with calssical barb skills Rage- character is in a rage for 10 min phys def and phys attack value switches while in rage 30 min cooldown
Veno:
Master of Venom- greater poison skill that does a good deal more damage over time than the one currently in, a new skill or two and/or a boost to pet based skills
Fox Demon- some boost to fox skills damage maybe, but for sure at least one aoe skill and an agro grabbing skill
So there you have it people learn to come up with ideas instead of bashing everyone elses
EDIT:
as I just thought of it if youd rather see a new class heres an idea on those
Human- Arcane Swordsman combines what humans have now into a class that would do mag damage through sword skills, preference light/arcane armor and swords/magical swords, primary stat: mag/str secondary: str/dex damage done would be a hybrid of magic dmg and phys- phys on normal and some skills magic dmg on most skills. Also has to ability to embue one element at a time to normal strikes(similar to wiz water buff but self based and only one effect at a time) This could be split into two paths one specializing in normal swords and imbueing with elemens and one in elemental sword skills
Elf- Elves lack a true melle class in this game archers can sort of cut it, but it would be nice to add one lets say maybe a...
Dragoon using the elves ability to fly can gain advatage by droping on enemies phys based uses spears, poleblades, maybe poleaxes too, preference heavy armor, primary stat: str secondary: dex
this class could be given skills and abilities that does great damage if player uses from flying to land ontop of enemy and then using land based skills finish it off. Could also have two paths one that specializes in the flying attacks one that is land based. To fix problem of instances not being able to fly in instances maybe make those attacks make the character do a leap attack while in an instance or just say tough luck I guess.
Untamed- Feral Warrior(male or female class first off can use models from barb and veno) phys based preference, fists/claws heavy/light armor, primary stat: dex secondary: str this class can use the existing untamed ability for true form turning into another animal (perhaps a panther or wolf for females and a lion or bear for males, or just one for all to make it easy) and easily have a path for animal and a path for non animal form. As for primary skills it should be almost like an archer in terms of being based on doing crits only close range, could also take from veno and have status inducing attacks such as poisoned claws or weakening abilities to lower defenses. Also as this class sounds as it would be particularly wild looking and rely on claws could also get away with a lot of bleed attacks by maiming and slashing the enemy
these classes would also give new importance to some of the lesser used weapons in the game (mainly spears, and fists as only bms tend to use them and most tend to go axe or sword)0 -
I've always liked dual class options in games, but I don't think PWI is set up for such a thing at this moment and for them to do it would require a massive overhaul.
How I've seen it work is that in addition to your attributes each class has a specific level associated to it based on what type of attack done. So let's just break it into 4 for the sake of argument here. Fighter, Magic, Healer, Range. Each class in turn has an experience bucket or pot. So when you are using a sword or fighter skills and get the kill the experience goes to a pot for that class. Using a bow it goes to Range, etc. Each class then levels on its own and skill are given out accordingly. So if you get your fighter pot up to level 10 then the level 10 fighter skills are open to you. However if you also get your level Healer up to level 10 then the level 10 healer skills are open to you as well. At certain combination "special skills" are allowed to reward the "hybrid" character. So you could g pure fighter and have it be as it is now. That's your choice on how you play. However if you get your fighter up to level 30 and your healer class up to level 15 then you would become a paladin and a couple skills would open up to that a pure healer or pure fighter would not be given. Of course since you went with a mixed class and your total level is 45 you would not yet have access to level 45 fighter or healer skills yet. It would be the sacrifice you make for the hybrid skills and abilities.
I'm sure there are many other ways to go about this, but this is one of the more successful ways I've seen it done. As you can see though a lot would need to change, plus there are 6 classes really. I can see people **** up and be a total of level 60, but only have 10 levels in each. Or maybe how it's done is that each class only has the ability to choose a second predetermined subset class. So you couldn't have a barb/cleric. Maybe barbs only have the chance to be barb/mages or something.
In any event the suggestion box is for dreams that will rarely come true so no harm in wishing. I like the idea, but don't think there's a practical application in PWI.0 -
guys, stop hiding behind an anonymous character avatar and post on your main before you say you dislike it.
as for my opinion...it would be cool, but bad for the game.

Fine, if that's what you want. No.

cross-classing is a good idea for some games, but not pw. There's just not enough classes really to support it on a large scale everyone would enjoy, and the fact that getting your own class skills costs so much spirit/coin as it is, having a second class would just cost too much to support.
your the stupid one but if you were a blade master an a barb you would be to strong0 -
I think this isnt gonna happen because the players in this game always bich and whine about overpowered sht.0
