New Pets

I am a level 8 Vecromancer with a wolf pet.
How do I tame other pets ?

    You learn the Tame Pet Skill from the Pet Trainer. Simply go to one and scroll down to the option "Tame Pet," it will bring up a list of skills, and you should see a skill "Tame Pet" in there.

    If it's not there, check your Skill Tree and look for a little green doll-looking thing with blue fame in the background (should say Skill: Tame Pet when you hover over it)...check the first level required for the skill and remember it.

    For you to first learn the Tame Pet skill, yes.

    You get a quest at level 7 to learn Tame. Below is from the Untamed Quest Thread in the Quest Forum:

    Level 7
    The Trainer's Summon 2 - Natural Talent
    System message upon reaching level 7. Venomancer only.

    1. Report to Pet Skill Trainer Hu (257, 644)
    -Reward (Gold: 40)

    Sacred Beast
    Venomancer Taming Skill Quest. Venomancer only.
    Note: It is also possible to buy the eggs for this quest from a player shop.

    1. Speak to Pet Skill Trainer Hu (257, 644)
    -Collect 1 Fresh Meat (Drops from Rhinodrake Plainswalker Located around 222, 583)
    Note: Farm Snowdye Flower's for the Hunting Net Marks.
    -Collect the Hunting Net Mark 1: Located around (210, 583)
    -Collect the Hunting Net Mark 2: Located around (209, 587)
    -Collect the Hunting Net Mark 3: Located around (213, 592)
    -Collect 1 Appetizing Roast Meat (Farm the Campfire located at 212, 591)
    2. The Sacred Beast will appear. Attacks are meaningless. Just wait until it dies.
    -Obtain 1 Sacred Best Pet Egg
    3. Report to Pet Skill Trainer Hu (257, 644)
    Pet Bag gets expanded to 2 slots
    In order to learn the skill, talk to the Pet Skill Trainer and select the "Tame Pet" option, then click the skill to learn it.

    Collect 1 Fresh Meat (Drops from Rhinodrake Plainswalker Located around 222, 583)

    I have been killing these beasts for an hour and still no drop of fresh meat.......do I really need this meat ? Was thinking of trying without the meat because the quest description says nothing about it !

    The meat is a quest item that doesn't show up in your normal inventory, but to see if you got the drop, you can check the quest log, and see if it says (1/1) or (0/1).

    There is no meat in quest log or any mention of it....just the nets.
    Maybe it has changed and the meat is no longer required ?

    Getting the meat was the first part of the quest if it has no mention in the quest anymore proceed to the next part.

    It happens the same to me.. I've kill lotz of Rhinodrake Plainswalker but still:

    Collect: Hounting Net Mark 1 (0/1) -.-

    Still w8ing for an answer to nightyne

    it's one of those quests that automatically advances to the next stage when the current one is complete. Because you have the stage where you set the nets, you've already gotten the fresh meat and completed that stage.

    dont even bother killing more than one Rhinodrake plainswalker. just go to the fire and click on it.
