Getting ahold of a GM in game

I've noticed that a lot of people have taken to using world chat telecoustics to try to get the attention of a GM. There was an announcement over the notice system on the Lost City server yesterday instructing not to use the world chat to ask for a GM. Instead, you have a couple options open to you to get ahold of a GM:

1: the "I'm stuck" button functions exactly like a regular /call gm system. I've checked about this and it's ok to use in situations where you aren't even stuck and just need to talk to a GM about something.

2: the ticketing system located here: http://support.perfectworld.com/ticketing - you can use this to do things such as report hackers, login problems, in game issues such as being stuck somewhere or whatever else, and even make suggestions for future game patches.

Understand that the GM team is busy, and often times have many people to assist before they will be able to help you. So, in conclusion, you're better off using your trumpets to look for an FB group than to request help from a GM b:victory

Agreed. Since there's GM function available, one should try to use it... Instead of using 'World Chat' to shout for GM...

Moreover, I believe that there's alot of people that need helps most of the time.... But limited GM... So give GM sometime in responding.

A little suggestion. Perhaps should make a system that when someone need help and click on the GM help function, there's a reply in which that only 'you' be able to see it. And will inform him/her the 'queue' he/she is in...

i reported 2 ppl not 15min ago and no GM came i understand that there are limited GMs but at the sametime they should hold hacking at a higher response time than say botting or getting stuck,etc...

you know Hackers,glitchers are something to be concerned about. Before anyone says it yes i was accused of exploiting Gouf but the GM let us off. Even though 90% of the party was on the ground. i was the only one flying and not doing hardly any dmg at that.

maybe the "call a GM" button could be used more effectivly if there would be the possibility to enter a short text.
like "i have problems seeing my items" or "i finished quest but didnt get the reward" or whatever.
So GMs could look up whats in queue and decide what it is really important and first to handle. Also i short msg like "your page was transfered, there are xx pages in front of you to do" would be nice

I used the GM button function once and the GM got to me in about an hour or so to help. I think that is a fine response time considering that they probably get a 100 stupid questions like... "how do I learn skills" from those ppl that are too lazy/stupid to read forums, use the tutorials or even to ask othe players first. Imagine wading through those first before getting to a real question.

I agree that maybe we should be able to write a small message to the GMs to explain what's wrong, so they can choose which is very important.

I remember when the bots were really bad, and I reported one to the GM. After I reported it, I realized that I was wrong and the person was just KSing me and ignoring me. XD About half an hour later, I got a whisper from "GM" that asked if I reported a bug, but every time I tried to respond to that whisper, it came up with the "report a bug" dialog box. x_x The GM had to come to me to ask about the bug, because I couldn't reply to their whisper.

Fortunately, they were understanding about the accidental bug report. XD

I agree, their response time is actually _very_ good, hands down the fastest response i've ever gotten in an mmo, even faster than the p2p ones (like wow, ffxi and l2)

The people who use WC to call GM then complain about no response are all a bunch of morons.

Good,they at least warned you. Its not about where the squad is, its about exploiting a bug

I do agree that hackers,cheaters and such must be dealt swiftly and as hard as possible. That keeps the game fair for all.

the problem with putting "hacking" at a higher priority is 90% of the time the person reporting is mistaken. So prioritizing it would just lead GMs to have to deal with false claims more often and back log them even more for people who actually need the help.

This game should have some kind of in-game ticket/petition system so GMs can pretty much sit in-game and handle the cases as they pop in, it would make the life of GMs AND players much easier.

Oh well.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think PMing a gm with /GM(Not the name of the GM, just GM) works as well. Note the 5 minute cooldown after sending one message. Would be nice to get confirmation, if it works.

My screen came up with the "I would like to report a hacker" window. o.o; I felt bad, because a GM whispered me from that account and I didn't know how to respond. XD

You guys forget that GMs are also casual players as well.

A GM can only see those contact request if they are logged in as GM.

If a GM is playing on a casual character in game, and see the world chat request for GM , he/she can switch over the GM character and gives assistance.

Please keep that in mind before criticizing someone using their trumpets to ask for a GM.

I have been thinking maybe to lessen the load for the GMs, maybe they should get some volunteer help from the community such as Game Sages or something of the sort...
