Erm... Should there be a price guide for all mats ingame?

I am rather new to the game and i will like to have an idea of the materials and other ingame related items price guideline.
Reason is that i saw many selling lvl 1 mats like 1000-1500 gold per pc of log, herb etc.. And yet requesting ridiculous prices to buy logs of 100pcs for like about 1000 gold. And lvl 2 mats for like about 2000-2500 gold per pc, and asking to buy at low price as well. Correct me if i am wrong. I think the prices are misleading at different areas.
I hope that all players of different lvls will help to post reasonable prices of any items ingame here.

There is no set guideline to follow, really, as the choice is up to the player. You can sell a candy cane for 100,000 gold, and someone next to you could be selling them for 100 each. The reason people buy low and sell high is to make a lot of profit, otherwise known as "Merchanting."

You can buy mats from the cash shop. If you check those prices and pay attention to the Gold/Coin exchange rate for your server you can generally get a good estimate of how much its worth.
