The Update process

I'm having serious issues with the update process. I have already downloaded the client and have played the game on several occasions, but recently an update needed to be ran and i can't get it to work. It keeps getting stuck and failing to download. Also, every file takes obnoxiously long to download and when i restart the update process and tell it resume, it doesn't even get to the file it was updating to begin with. I'm severely frustrated and need some help. Is there any way for me to either fix this problem, or is there some other place i can download this update from?

    thanks...the process of doing it client-side took around 6 hrs without success...manual? about 3 minutes...i feel dumb now...Thank you!
