country ip blocks...

just a thought but at the moment pwi blocks countries that have their own versions of pw.
so when pwms is released will pwi be ip blocking europe?

    They say not but it would be the other way around. The way they have done the existing ones prevent people who already have a PW from going to another that is created after theirs. So they could block the US people from playing in EU but the current EU people could continue play here just like the US still can play in MY.

    The restrictions are kinda strange even from a licensing idea. Most players will always play on the closet server because of performance and the issue of buy ingame gold with a credit card in another country. I suspect we will lose a number of EU players since the game plays very different with a 60ms lag rather than 250ms.

    Sorry but EU server blocking US players while US server doesn't block EU players would only make EU server lose money lol b:laugh

    More over, many of us have real life friends that for a reason or another migrated to the other side of the pond, and being unable to play with them simply means the whole group leaving for another game.

    Incidently IP blocking is a strong incentive for emulated or pirate servers, too.
