My game has died :(

It took me about 23 hours to download this game client onto my p.c
When first got it some updater screen opened and told me that new updates are avaliable .Those updates never worked and just clicked on cancel every time for my game to run.Now the games not starting and says need to get the new update patch but it never worked for me from the start.Do i have to re-download everything to continue playing on?I'm pretty sure the GM's made a notice saying "our weekly updates" servers shutting down.This is to much for me and i get lost when i try to lurk in these forums for answers.How do i start my game again?b:pleased

If you have repeated issues with the Updater, please try the manual patchers. The weekly server downtime was set for yesterday, but there's a very short downtime planned for tonight to deal with some quality-of-life issues.

So now my game client installed successfully.But now i have a new problem.Maybe this is on my behalf since i have strict settings on my anti-virus program.

The updates work and the game starts.Now its the logon screen that wont allow me in.

Please make sure your anti-virus, software firewall, and any hardware firewalls, in addition to programs like PeerGuardian, are set to allow access through port 29000 out.
