Exp for Pure Int Wizards
I was wondering if someone could give me some insight on the speed of Exp gain for a pure int wizard. I know that in other games the added damage allows for faster training, but i do not know if it is like that in this game as well. Are there any experienced magicians out there who can answer this for me?

From what I've seen, light armor users around my level take a few extra hits to kill the same mobs. If you're both leveling on flying mobs below your level (1v1), it's more like 1-2 extra. I'm sure it adds up, but I've never really thought about it.
In AoE, there's probably not much difference because a pure mag has to cap their AoE's level for certain level ranges in order to prevent drawing aggro upon themselves./Haiku/ -- Cognitive atrophy at its finest.

I would say it severely depends on your connection and skill level. Wizards, in general, can obliterate and breeze through quests quite easily.
A Pure INT build would be a good bit faster than a LA build when it comes to killing and gaining exp, but they also suffer the most for any mistakes. With that in the equation, you kill dramatically faster, but you also lose the most exp due to any mistakes such as s-key kiting straight into another mob...
or killing a sacrificial attack monster that has run up next to you that just so happens to blow up when you kill it (and that's a quest monster).
Just think of Pure INT builds as delicate Glass Cannons.0 -
^That would be why you have your map settings so that monsters are shown as little white dots on your minimap. Or distance shrink through the mob to the other side (sometimes it'll hit you once, sometimes it won't) to give yourself a hit or two before it catches up again instead of running./Haiku/ -- Cognitive atrophy at its finest.

I would have to say that pure int wizards do gain xp much faster than other builds. I am a pure int wizard, and I was watching this wizard about my level yesterday with a better weapon take nearly twice as long to kill the mobs that I was killing. Most mobs, depending on the element and type, take 3-5 spells to kill, maybe an extra pitfall or crown of flame to finish them off quick. Also, by the time you get to 49 and get force of will, you wil rarely be hit by a mob, even archers or casters. Using a combination of your snares, distance shrink, and force of will pretty much makes you untouchable, and being pure int just means things die faster.0

^Depends. The # of hits to kill isn't very different when you're grinding on flying mobs which yield the best exp (most of the time). I 3hko'd water mobs my level and 4hko'd flying ones at 51.. LA using friend of mine takes 1 extra hit to kill both at 52.
However, I'm now using a legendary, so my damage is pretty much maximized at the moment lol. I don't think I can really compare anymore. You're right about being untouchable though, that's for sure. Made those lower levels so worth it./Haiku/ -- Cognitive atrophy at its finest.
