The Auction House...

Are they global (meaning is one auctioneer covering the entire server) or does each city have a separate auction house? Also why don't people ever use it =/

    Its global, it gets used ALL the time(never noticed the billion or so useless items in there?).

    Things dont often sell tho because the search system is about the worst in the history of mankind and unfortunately it requires a major code change from beijing(which wont happen in my lifetime).

    I can't really imagine how search function can be that broken. Does it show you wrong/irrelevant results or finds nothing even though it should?

    The search is broken as you can't search for the item you want. You can apply filters to find items in that category, but this is much more tedious. Say I want dull claws. I have to go to filters > dragon quest > lvl 31 (or whatever level they are) then go through pages. I have to know what categories are there, and what category fits my item. Some items don't have categories, or I don't know how to find them on auction (such as heiros, inv. stones, etc.). The search box only shows a precise auction if you know the auction number. It should be coded to allow you to search for "dull claw" for example.

    If you think that's the worst you didn't see PSU's... You could search by item name ONLY. That was it. Nothing else. At least until the expansion but... /random

    comparins something thats worse is pointless. Search here isnt "broken" is just nonexistant, you can only search auction ID's

    Look at SOTNW, they had a amazing auction system where you could search for any text or part of it, or you could sort items with various dropdowns like: Caster / Weapon / 30-40 -> would give u all the usable weapons from lvl 30-40 for magic users.
