Been there done that, I think Xarfox actually said in that thread "we're looking into it" but you know how it goes. I think they've been "looking into" it since CB *sigh*0 -

I never said people wouldn't complain either.
post something that makes sense.
How about this then: You aren't special. Your friends aren't special. My friends aren't special. I'm not special.
Since you seem too dense to get a basic list, let me say that no matter who they **** out of the times, they will become the "vocal majority" on the forums. Those that are satisfied with the times tend not to post yelling that they're stupid.
I don't like all the times either, but frankly if I wanted a more European centered time I'd go play a server with the time set to accommodate Europeans. I would hope that they'd make a new server with that time zone and allow Europeans who want to transfer over to do so, but otherwise I'd suggest that you wait for servers in Europe to open up (and have Americans that go there blast the forums about unfair TW times).
Now if only there were a version open with times accommodating Asian players that have people blasting THEIR forums about unfair TW times... =P0 -
Just like zen prices, no matter how many people complain, they will always "look into it" and "see what's best for the community".
In other words, nothing is going to be done.0 -
To the girl that said TW is profit, think again and wash your hair already.
Do you really think players become "boutique" shoppers just because of TW? Think again.
People buy gold for coins or buy cash shop items from other players who are already "boutique" shoppers. Logically, there would be new purchase from those players who sold their cash shop items, but that's wrong. They buy 20 gold, sell the items away, get crapload of coins and buy stuff they need. After that, shopping stops until the next allowance (or a paycheck). People also buy charms and such because you need them to level from level 60 onwards (even before that) - and you don't have level 30 people in TW (If you do... then you won't get far in TW, even with the charms on).
Just face it, TW makes money as much as every random boutique purchase does. More non-TW guild people buy directly from boutique than those in TW. I'd suppose mainly because TW is in a stupid timezone. So correction, TW "could" be profit.

Naris, I just don't understand why you're talking about the fact that there will always be people who complain no matter the times. Its irrelevant.
If you want to keep on talking about how people will complain, go ahead. Answer these 2 questions if you feel like it:
With the current TW times (8 pm -11 pm Pst, 4am - 7am Gmt), do you think that the majority of both American and European players can participate?
and
If the TW times were changed to (10 am - 1 pm Pst, 6 pm - 9 pm Gmt), do you think that the majority of both American and European players could participate?
PS, if "but otherwise I'd suggest that you wait for servers in Europe to open up" was directed at me, I live in Vancouver.0 -

My apologies about the mistake in your location... most of the people grumbling tend to be from Europe/Asia...
I bring up the fact that there will always be someone grumbling quite simply because they will always be the most vocal regardless of whether or not they're the majority. There is no way for us to know what time zone (if any) the majority of players play from (short of the GMs posting IP logs or something).
I will say I find both those times inconvenient to me, but I like playing enough to actually make time to do so. If I were not able to go to war because of work or school or whatever I'd consider playing a version with a more convenient time zone. 6pm - 9pm GMT is still inconvenient for some people... it is very early in the evening. Likewise 10am is a pain for some people in the Americas (some people do work on weekends).
I'm not saying that 4am-7am is a nice time for people in GMT time (though admittedly they probably aren't doing anything but sleeping or gaming).
Again even if the servers are you your time zone, that doesn't mean the times they select (supposedly in favor of your time zone) are really all that convenient.
I still think the best way to solve this is to make another server for those on (or near) GMT and allow character ports.0 -

Translation: PWI is Rohan 2.0 aka Rohan with Flying Carebears.
Seriously, the multi level marketing schemes are really getting annoying, too.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Zoe is so full of it, that he must be Karmelia.0 -

There is one simple solution, just change time for TW on sunday to be 12h sooner whitch will make it 11 am for american players and 8 pm for europe which would be acceptable for most of players. Time schedule as it is now is good for ppl playing from china or middle of atlantic.
If you look at globe with timezones you will see that mostly morning to evening you will see just water and from evening to morning mostly land.
Or remove sunday from TW at all as friday and sunday its not great times for us, but at least we can make it becouse there is noone (or almost noone) working during or after TW.
I make mistake from my previous post about time as PST EST thingy is so damn confusing, but actual time for TW is for me and many other ppl from our guild 8-11 am on monday morning.0 -
Kyou - Heavens Tear wrote: »I don't supposed PWE will do anything about TW times because it doesn't bring any more money to them. Dissatisfaction is only important for them if it's a cash item involved.
Dissatisfaction will come when some guilds will loose a territory wars because it was scheduled at a stupid time when too many of their members could not attend. Then they wil likely loose some players.
They won't loose the jobless kiddos who are still living in their parents' house. They will loose those who have to wake up early to go to work. They will loose those who have the more money to put into the game.
Like other said : they cannot make it so that TW time will fit for everyone, but they can make it fit for the majority of their players. As it is now, it is only fitting a minority of their players. Right now, TW times fit better chinese players (which are IP banned) than north american east coast and european...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Thanks Brit for the sig b:laugh0 -
As i said in the other post(yes the one no one read):
how about you just let us have them at the times advertised on the main site? Intresting to see how the worst possible times from all the available slots where chosen. At least give everyone a chance to enjoy saturday/sunday wars. Fridays will prolly just have to stay usa-only because ppl work andonly get home at 6-7pm.
From site:
Friday: 8:00pm-11:00pm <- To LATE!!! ***** over large part of players*
Saturday: 9:00am-12:00pm <- Only good for players that dont have jobs
2:00pm-5:00pm <- Almost perfect for everyone world wide, but not used
8:00pm-11:00pm <- To LATE!!! ***** over large part of players*
Sunday: 9:00am-12:00pm <- Good, not supposed to work on sudays and I doubt many goto church
2:00pm-5:00pm <- Almost perfect for everyone world wide, but not used
8:00pm-11:00pm <- To LATE!!! ***** over large part of players*0
