Cosmetic Master: Final Sale?

Hi, just a quick question:

If I have a cosmetic scroll and I go to a cosmetic master (example the one in Archosaur), and when I confirm initially that I have the scroll with the NPC, will I still be able to opt-out of changing my appearance, or is it that I have to change something right no matter what after I have confirmed that I have a scroll. I hope you understood that b:thanks

There is a confirmation screen when you first select the cosmetic master that asks if you have a scroll and for you to place it on the empty slot on her text window. I'm afraid that if I confirm it, will be stuck with having to change my characters appearance right away rather than coming back later to rethink my options.b:surrender

Haven't tested it myself, but other players say no, you will not be stuck changing your appearance. You can cancel and take the scroll back.

Yes you can opt out of it.

When you insert the scroll into the slot and hit Confirm, it will bring you to the "Makeover" screen which is essentially the Character Creation screen but with a different background. From there you can fiddle around with the appearance of your character all you want.

If you decide you do not want to make any changes at this time, you can hit the "Cancel" button and your Makeover Scroll will be given back to you. The only time it will take the scroll is if you hit "Done" in the creation screen.

I have another question about this topic. After using the cosmetic scroll, is it a one-time-permanent-no-change-after-that-unless-you-have-another-scroll type of thing? Or alternately, does it work like making a new character, where you have 2 days to tweak things?

I noticed that my character looks different in different kinds of light and the cosmetics person doesn't have the best lit screen. Perhaps as a suggestion (tell me if I should put this in the suggesion box if it'll be answered there more effectively) you could add a movable source of light to the appearance customization screen. What i mean is, a source of light that you can change its position so you can see your chracter under differnt directions of light. Sometimes its difficult to tell if your cheeks are too shallow without proper shadowing and when you finish your customization on the screen and take your character into the real world, you're like "what the heck?"

the movable light source has a seperate window that can be closed that offers you the options of either changing the light's hight or depth with respect to where your chracter is standing on the customiation screen. You can also change the color if you want to see your character under different kinds of lighting. this would help me greatly and I imagine some other players who are picky with their appearance in-game. Ty for your attention!

P.S. i love the chracter customization screen! It's so much better that other games!
