strange button lock

At some points while playing my character,all the hotkey actions seem to lock on me.
I tried every button and every shortcut key in the helps menu doesn't show how to unlock my problem.By the health bar there is this lock picture that says 1 minutes about something i have no clue about.All of my windows are scrunched up and i cannot find a resize button so i have no choice but to click the hide button because it takes up most of the screen.Is everything in the help icon in the lower right corner of screen because i've read everything in it which there isn't much text to read.I tried everything i could click on for assistance.The game runs ok but it sometimes locks on me and i cant do anything but run.b:pleased
