Ok Everyone is griping about pricing. Time for a new topic!

I would like to know if it would be possible to find out if there is a target goal for adding the cooler cash shop items. Either a Patch # or Calender Date.

Example:
The other versions have pages of each type of fashion clothes. Some of the ones in this one have yet to have a single item out yet. Same goes for the Flying and Land Mounts.

And yes I know this version is still only a couple months old and will take time to bring everything up to speed. I just thought it might be a neat idea to have a sticky post in this section showing what people can look forward to.

So... Opinions:
Good Idea? Bad Idea? Don't Care Either Way?

It shouldn't take time to bring us up to speed in this version, we should get items as they're released on other servers as well as instant access to any items already implemented in the game code. Where does logic come into delaying the release of items on this server when the code is already in the game as you can tell by looking at the auction house or pet traders. Yes it takes time to develop NEW items, but if the item's not new, little or no time should be involved in its implementation. The statement of little only made to allow for increased profit for the business with minimal work.

As far as "catching up" I would think the maximum time should be 1/4 of the time it took the other server to get to that point. If server A has been up for 1.5 years when server B is introduced, server A and Server B should be at the same point when Server B is .5 years old and server A is 2 years old. That's within reason to allow for profitability without creating a sense of preferential treatment for either server to the players of either server.

I agree but if I remember correctly the game first came out in china 3 or 4 years ago. The PH version is up to speed with it but, even after what a year now, MY is still in the process of catching up. So I can understand this one taking a while as well. But since none of the 3 prior versions ever gave update notes theres no record on how long it takes for things to be activated.

ok, well if the china version was 4 years ago, and the ph was a year ago, my 1/4 of the time idea is supported... tada!

also understand dears, there is no "roll out" this version of the game is the same as the others, it has all the things the others do. that is not why things are not rolled out.

    Its all about the money.

forecasting... projections to maintain players, income flow over the long haul, etc.

Well they have to translate and recode it into the game. Although it would be nice to know what to expect.

actually i have found out that the head office has not release the patches/permission and that hurts the group so saying its not code ready is actually more accurate.

but think about it, they dont want to release everything at once, that would be bad for business. I can understand some things, but now I know where the hold up is at, hard for me to blame the local group, they prob would like to toss some things out themselves.

It depends how this version was ported, and what the base of the other version(s) were/was, internal code can be coded in whatever the heck you want, its all variables and function names, doesnt matter the language, its all, for the most part, understood by the computer the same way. It just makes it more difficult to understand for the reader, I code C++ applications. I've rewritten and translated many opensource applications written in other languages without having any knowledge of the language, It just takes time, if this version is being translated... The truth is that the code is already there, or somewhere (If it exists in other region versions) it just hasent been translated (With the exception that we are assuming this version is translated rather then rewritten)
For those who visit PWDB (Perfectworld Database) may notice that many of the creature names, item names, and quest names differ from the version we play (Likely a different translator)

This happens with majority of the F2P games, take MapleStory for example, its korean version was years ahead of the global version, many of the updates took months to years to get specific zones, I don't expect PW to update very often either. I have my opinions for the speed updates COULD happen, but they probably have their reasons for them to NOT happen.

true dear. Theholdup is at the china group, but the local group could be doing a much better job keeping us up to date or even a "loose" calendar.
