Targeting System

The targeting system is kinda ****. Several times I've missed clicked and started running toward mobs instead of drawing a monster out.
I think tab is a pretty good targeting button, pressing it (or any other button) and moving on to the next monster would be nice. This way you never have to miss click and run at a huge mob.
Obviously tab is used to cycle through the skill bar, but does anyone actually do it? I just keep 3 bars open (one for fire, wat, and earth spells) and I have my fire spells on the Fkeys 'cause I use them most, dunno how it is for other classes though.
Regardless, a targeting button would be a lot of help imo.

No thanks, bots are allready a problem, no point making it easier to them.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I've played many many mmogs since late beta of Asherons Call in 1999. One of the sad things I've seen over and over again is game dev's being too aggressive towards bots.
Trying to make the game fair and thus fun is certianly an honourable task, but at the same time the most important focus is making the game playable.
Making the game targeting system fustrating and cumbersome will most likely turn players towards bots rather than away. If that makes bots a bit easier to design well I would accept that and just PK bots if they are in my way. (or just report them if by some freak chance i find myself on a pve server)
Maybe GM's upon recieving a complaint of a bot would just port the player into an environment where they would be safe but have to respond manually to a random question then if answered correctly would be ported back with an invulnerabilty timer of say 1 min to get ready to resume the game. If not answered or incorrectly then they get autologged off.
I dono, but I would rather see the game devs come up with a response to bots that dosent punish honest players as well. That way we can have our trusty tilde (or tab) 'target nearest enemy' keys.0 -
