I have made Rank 1 - I see I can buy a set of armor for rank 1 for 10,000 coins each piece.

Does anyone have any details on this stuff?

Is this armor pictured anywhere with the stats?
I hate to spend coin on something when I have no idea what it is.

Thank you

Rank 1 Armor is very nice.. You should buy all three pieces. I do not have a pic but they are two socket each and nice stats.

To be honest.. I would NOT buy the pants. You get MUCH nicer pants from the FB29.

The rank gear CAN be refined, but is unable to be decomposed/traded/discarded. The Blue-green pants from the FB however can not be refined.

Oh, and for looks... The tamer stuff looks like sunsprite gear and the Blue-green pants looks like a blue skirt with white tights up 3/4 of the legs.

*** Robe of Tamer (2 Sockets)
    Arcane Robe
    Lv. 4
    Phys. Res.: +54
    Metal/Wood/Water/Fire/Earth +480
    Req. Venomancer Lv. 30
    HP +50
    Magic +2

*** Pants of Tamer (2 Sockets)
    Arcane Leggings
    Lv. 4
    Phys. Res.: +46
    Metal/Wood/Water/Fire/Earth +415
    Req. Venomancer Lv. 30
    HP +50
    Magic +2

    *** Seal of Conjurer
    Elemental Belt
    Lv.4
    Metal/Wood/Water/Fire/Earth +82
    HP +40
    Magic +2

    *** Blue-green Pants (3 Sockets)
    Arcane Leggings

I think the military pants are better than the fb29 ones :v

I suggest getting the jewel as the fb29 reward instead, pretty sure that one's phys def with nice bonuses, and you don't need the military adorn since it adds elemental defense while you would be in desperate need of physical.

imho at the lower levels phys def is needed more than mag def and sacrificing it for 40 hp and 2 mag from the rank belt isnt the best thing. That extra def comes in handy when you accidentally get aggroed.

wow I cant believe this.... I still havent done fb29 and if I had known I would have done it to get those pants instead of the stupid rank ones. Although I do like the matching set. b:laugh

anyone got stats for the jewel from fb29?

    whats the reward from fb39?

and how about rank 2 armor? anyone got the stats on that?

Correct. At lower levels, mobs are still doing only physical damage to you so magic defense is quite useless at this stage, IMHO.

"So what"? :-) I haven't done FB19 or 29 yet (in fact, I have the quest to kill Den of Wolves boss, but I don't remember any other boss quest like this... but maybe it's in a chain that hasn't progressed far enough yet), and I still don't feel "left behind".

I guess it's a matter of whether you just want to play, or whether you want to compete with other players for the best equipment.

O.oa... Now correct me if I'm wrong here... But doesn't the "MP Recovery +2" from the pants mean you're getting an extra 2 MP per tic? Maybe it's just my background in FFXI, a game that makes it rather difficult to get a "Refresh" or PW's term of "MP Recovery" hard to get, that makes me look at those Blue-green pants and go :Q...

And if I'm not getting hit... Why do I need a belt with more Phys Def and STR? The 46 MP doesn't really impress me either because as far as I'm concerned MP/tic > Max MP. And the point about the physical defense has even less weight when you look at the items you can buy/craft near that level such as: lvl 25 Lone Mountain Amulet Phys +58 and lvl 35 Peaceful Field Amulet Phys +82 for 1 * items. However, if you're really into melee'ing as a Veno, then by all means get the belt with STR on it.

In my opinion though... I'm very happy with my Blue-green pants. <3 the MP Recovery +2. And for my money... I want MP Recovery and Channeling Time -. But that's just me. =)

Recovery stuff is pretty useless. Just pot. You'll be in battle for the majority of the time anyway, and your mp recov bonus will drop to +.5

The phys def on the adorn is less of an issue than the hp, although it'll matter more if you're a robe user. The str bonus means 3 more points you can put into Mag/Vit.

Looking at it this way, +2 mp recov might be more useful for slightly quickening PvE, but it's not nearly as useful in PvP or when you get aggro'd/spawned on by a mob as the +hp and +str the adorn gives.

But if the +2 recovery pants would retain their recovery rate while in combat then that would be useful. And it doesn't look like the military pants have anything to offer in return.

But you're not really getting anymore HP over the elemental belt... And who said anything about PVP? Check the name, Heaven's Tear. That means PVE. And I don't bother changing my status to PVP. lol Suits me just fine to kill mobs and the occasional duel.
As far as the MP Recovery goes... Since I got the pants I very rarely use a MP potion. Which is quite nice and lets me save the ones I pick up for the nasty fights where I actually need them instead of just quickening the pace of a quest. Anyway.. It's really about personal taste. But for me, I prefer the MP Recovery and Channeling time -.

2 mp recov is like nothing. But whatever. To each his own.

Any + stat by itself is like nothing.

The blue-green pants looks to have better stats overall, the tamer's pants only has +20 HP more, which is really just static and mostly irrelevant.

im sorry for bringing up old threads, but i have a important question reguarding rank armor that this thread hasnt answerd yet.

i play a heavy armor/magic wepon fox form veno, and interested in the rank armor.. but as a veno my only option is the arcane robes... is there any way possible that i can trade them somehow for the heavy rank1 armor? it would benifit my playstyle and char much more then arcane..

or am i stuck with chosing arcane and losing all my def?

currently im using lvl 20 crafted ☆☆☆
    Physical Defence +370
    Metal defence +160
    Wood defence +160
    Water defence +160
    Fire defence +160
    Earch defence +160
    :adds:
    (metal defence +45)
    (earth defence +45)
    (hp regen +5)
    :Sockets:
    Hp+20
    Hp+15

and as stated in the first page the reward is actually worse for fox veno

    ☆☆☆
    Physical Defence +54
    Metal defence +480
    Wood defence +480
    Water defence +480
    Fire defence +480
    Earch defence +480
    :adds:
    (Hp +50)
    (Int +2~3)
    one socket empty..

any help would be awesome! i hope theres a way to get the heavy rank1
    ps heres the heavy rank1

    ☆☆☆
    Physical Defence +482
    Metal defence +205
    Wood defence +205
    Water defence +205
    Fire defence +205
    Earch defence +205

The rank armors are no-drop no-trade. So you're out of luck. If it's any consolation, it's not *that* hard to find or make equipment just as good or better.

To address a couple other points brought up in this old thread:

The rank robe with the fb29 blue-green pants actually looks pretty cute. The pants look like a denim skirt if you're zoomed out, so the combo has a rather contemporary look to it what with the bare midriff.

MP regen is pretty useless on a veno. My current setup has +8 hp regen and +15 mp regen. It kinda happened by accident with some nice items I got as drops and accidentally bought off auction (it was priced low and I was going to decompose it into mirages, didn't look at the stats until after I won it). It cuts way back on how often I have to use Soul Transformation / Nature's Grace / Metabolic Boost. But as you probably guessed, having to do it every 15 min instead of 5 min isn't really gaining you anything. I just keep it because it has the resists of ☆☆☆ equipment, and I'm going to pass it on to my cleric when I upgrade (clerics always seem to be running out of mana).

+hp regen is much more valuable for a caster veno IMHO. I never use mana potions, but I do keep some hp potions for when I get hit before the above skills have recycled. The +8 hp regen basically means I almost never need to use the hp potions or have to sit and wait for hp to regen after an "accident." It also means a lot of times I can just use Soul Transformation to replenish my mana, so I can keep Metabolic Boost for emergencies.
