How to tame a pet

Um this is probably a stupid Q <<... but i can't find information about this anywhere...

So... how do you tame a pet ? What do you need to do ?

Btw. i'm a cleric, lvl7

    Hi am new to this game.. just became lvl three venomancer... the quest says a locked npc might be looking for you. this is regarding taming a pet. please help b:thanks

    The '"temporarily disabled NPC" is an old bug; for some reason they aren't fixing it. It's already been there when I started...

    As for pets, ONLY venomancers can tame pets. ONLY venomancers can use pets for fighting. There is some way for other classes to have a pet, but it's just running around with you and doesn't do anything (I don't know how to do it, though).

    BUT WAIT! Does anyone else know how to other classes can get pets then? I'm happy just to have one follow me around!

    Go talk to the zoologist in south eastern corner of archo. One of the options will give you a list of items required to get a baby pet egg. The items are usually x number of regular pet egg (where you'll have to buy from a veno). Once you have the required eggs, talked to the zoologist again and she'll give you a baby pet egg. take that to any pet manager/trainner to hatch the egg. Once hatched the baby pet will follow you around. It doesn't get aggro or fight and it doesn't go hungry.

    You can purchase one from Venomancers or other players, or process one through the NPC at 586, 620 (although she requires eggs, so doing so can be a bit tough as a non-Venomancer).

    What's the best way to tame a beast. What are the requirements n what happens when you successfully tame a beast? What're the benefits? Does it become a pet? Does it temporarily fight on your side??
