I have been doing a lot of reading on all of the build and skill questions , One thing that has yet to have been mentioned is The benefits of magical critical hits when dex is earned. So is the critical hit not really worth it??? If it you you have the benefit of both light armor and you critical hit with your magic more often. Or do you have to take a significant amount of Dex to actually increase the chances of CH and thats when you start taking away from the INT and overall you lose power in your spells?? I think im on the right track have only been playing two days!!

Think of it like this, you are trading raw damage for a chance at more damage sometimes. Whether or not you go for it is entirely up to what you wanna do and your own preferences. At least, from the damage side of things.

It takes 15 points into dex (agi) to increase your base critical chance from 1% to 2%, and an additional 20 points into dex for every further crit% increase. So assuming you put 15 stat points into dex, each point will give you the equivalent of a 0.067% increase to damage and +2 to your dodge rate... in other words, pretty useless when compared to the putting points into magic:

1 point of magic (int) increases your base magic attack by 1%, increases your max MP by 14, and increases all of your magic defenses by 0.25 points

The only real reason to consider dex is to werar light armor for PvP, as the +Pdef bonus from stone barrier adds a lot more for light armor than it does robes, and crits are useful when you have to 1 shot a player to get past their heiro.

The only time I think it makes sense is if you have close to 20 dex after equipment adjustments (voidlands tome, for example) and it will only take an additional few points (5 or 6 maybe) to add an additional crit %.

I did this just because it was so easy to do, and I suck at "game math", but am curious as to whether any math wizzies think its worth it, mathematically speaking.

I just looked at it as either gaining 1% from 5/6 stat points or wasting 8/9 stat points entirely. Obviously NOT a mathematical answer.

First time I thought dex is useless but now I'm trying another way. On p.server I put 250 points to dex. My m. attack drop about 6K, BUT now I have critical rate 33%. In PVP and in my opinion now I think is not so bad that I though first. Probably it depend on personal preferences.
